ReGurgiTron noise show live at the Masquerade Tampa 10/25/05
ReGurgiTron "Quality noise from a name you can trust!"
seeds of regurgitron are planted
I can trace my roots as ReGurgiTron back as early as 1985.

It was then, as a humble student at Chamberlain High School in Tampa, Florida that I was asked to set up a PA in the school's gymnasium for an afternoon assembly. I carted the PA to the gym, set it up, and, as was customary, I began to "ring out" the system. That is, equalize the PA based on when the live mics would feedback, then back off - a process that can get loud. Well, I was getting some amazing feedback especially at the lower frequencies that filled the gym with a wall of shearing sound, shaking the seating and rattling any loose metal objects. I kept this up for about 20 minutes, assaulting the gym with squealing feedback and rumbling, shuddering tremors, with the natural reverberation of the room's wood floors, high celings, and concrete walls, only adding to the mayhem. To my amazement, the PE class teacher and students in there didn't seem to mind. They just went about their activities. I guess, that I looked like I knew what I was doing and must have actually had a reason for blasting the gym with feedback - for 20 minutes. I didn't.

Fast forward to 1989 where I was taking an electronic music course at USF's SYCOM studio. There, at my mercy was a Moog modular synth, Scully tape machines, an ARP synth, lots of patch cables, and beat up microphones. I spent a semester learing how to cut and splice tape and how modular synthesis works. 2 years later I graduated from USF (I was on the "5 year plan") and enrolled in Full Sail's recording arts program.

1999 was the year that I officially launched ReGurgiTron on mp3.com. I actually made a few bucks from it before mp3.com collapsed (did ReGurgiTron have something to do with that?).

Now ReGurgiTron has it's own site and has released several CD-Rs including "Built to Glitch", "christmas CD", and "Don't Crap in my Pool and I Won't Shoot Your Dog", "sex and static", and plenty of mp3s on the net. Who knows what the future will hold?
